What is Homeschool?
"Homeschool" is the term used to describe a learning process that is not deemed as a "traditional" method of educating. Homeschool is freedom of choice. Homeschool is you choosing to facilitate your child's education in the comforts of your home, at the park, in a museum, a library, while traveling, or even with your neighbors and friends. "Homeschool" is also referred to unschooling, deschooling, world schooling, and a host of other titles.
How do I begin to homeschool my child?
Each state varies by laws. It is important to research your state's laws and requirements before you begin your home learning journey. Do I need to have a college degree to teach my child?
NO! You need to trust that you have everything that your child needs to learn, grow, and most importantly, excel in all they are purposed to do. It all begins with you. You do not need a college degree to provide proper learning for your Young Learner. You just need the flexibility, patience, and understanding to learn and grow with your child.
What will this Homeschool Expo assist me with?
This Homeschool Expo will show you that you are not only qualified for the home learning journey, but you are not alone on the journey. You will gain understanding and guidance in building, structuring, and remaining confidently encouraged on your home learning journey. This expo will ensure that you full understand all of the choices that are available to help you shape a meaningful, purpose-filled, enriched learning experience for you and your child. Most importantly, this Homeschool Expo will show you that you are not alone on this journey.
Do I have to "Homeschool" to be able to attend the Homeschool Expo??
Of course not! Understand that every day that your child is home with you, you are "homeschooling". There is no certain way that learning at home has to look, and even if parents don't always realize it, you are "homeschooling" your kids every day. Remember that there should always be a connection with you and your child's learning, no matter where they are spending the majority of their time. You are your child's first and most qualified teacher.
How many individuals are included in the family pass?
A family pass includes access for up to 2 adults and your children.
